Women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities

Be part of a public service that represents and includes the diverse identities, cultures, perspectives and experiences that make up Canada. Some student jobs and programs are only open to people who have self-declared as a member of an employment equity group. When you apply, you can indicate (self-declare) if you identify as a woman, an Indigenous person, a member of a visible minority, or a person with a disability.

For more information, visit canada.ca/self-declare.

How it works

  • Your application will be included in the student inventory
  • Throughout the year, managers will request applications that match their job requirements
  • You’ll be notified by email if you’re matched with a job opportunity, or if your application status changes
  • If your application is selected for further consideration, you’ll be contacted by a manager for a test and/or interview
  • Update the information in your application regularly to make sure you continue to be matched with the right job opportunities for you

If you have accommodation needs, inform the person who invited you for a test or an interview as soon as possible. This information will be kept confidential.
